Rt Hon Speaker Alban Bagbin Commissions Parliament’s Museum

The Right Honourable Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, officially commissioned Parliament’s museum in a historic ceremony at Parliament House, Accra.

The museum, a first of its kind in Ghana, serves as a monument to the country’s rich parliamentary history and democratic journey. It houses artifacts, documents, and multimedia exhibits showcasing the evolution of Ghana’s legislature from pre-independence to the present day.
In his address, Speaker Bagbin emphasized the importance of preserving the legacy of Ghana’s democracy. 

He described the museum as "a repository of our shared history, a testament to our democratic resilience, and an inspiration for future generations."
The event was attended by dignitaries, including Members of Parliament, government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and historians. Guests were treated to a guided tour of the museum, which features exhibits such as: Historic parliamentary debates and records.
